What's up with Jonny - HUGE GUEST ROLE!

When I first heard that Jonny Lee Miller was going to have a 6 episode guest appearance on "Dexter" (Showtime), it was hard to get any information on what sort of role he would have. Now, the season being almost over, cable audiences have seen JUST how big a role he was given on the show. His screen time has increased week by week. Next week is the finale and we find out what ultimately happens to his character, Jordan Chase.

Meanwhile, here is a clip of Jonny as Jordan:

Julie Gonzalo tv appearance

Julie recently appeared on Nikita.

Nikita - 1x03 (Kill Jill) Extended Promo

Sam and Jonny (contains spoilers...)

I am really liking Sam Jaeger's new show, Parenthood. I am so glad that I gave it a chance and that I have a DVR now to record it.
I have heard some news about Jonny Lee Miller's new role in Dexter. Rumors are that he will play a man named Jordan, which is interesting to me since his "Eli" worked for a "Jordan." There is a new "spoiler" out the last couple days saying that Jonny's character is a motivational speaker that may turn out to be a "villain" to Dexter.
I have not seen Dexter (with the exception of previews) and am not a subscriber to Showtime yet. Therefore, I will be reading up on the episode summaries, for the time being, to "watch" for Jonny!

That Mountaintop Experience

I did what I was supposed to do, now everything should go back to the way it was.

Eli went up on a real mountain. When he came down, he started to resist the changes that he was being beckoned to make. We may have "Mountaintop Experiences" that are not actually on a mountain. During these times, we are convinced that we are going to change something(s) in our lives. When it comes to actually making the change(s), it is a bit harder. Especially when we climb down from the "mountain" back to our regular lives.

I loved how the show depicted Eli's response to his Mountaintop Experience. I found it very realistic.

Having a hard time with something (alert: season 2 spoilers)

I am really having a hard time with the changes they made with Maggie for Season 2. Her personality changed, along with her hair and make up. She wears a lot more make up. In my opinion, she and Eli no longer have the chemistry they shared.
That being said, the writing/storylines were still decent for her character. Until "Sonoma" and the episode following..yuck! Thoughts anyone?

Medical Terminology from the Series finale

---SPOILERS--- Do not read if you haven't seen Season 2, Episode 13.

I was a bit confused about the treatment Eli received after his aneurysm ruptured in "Flight Path." Not surprisingly, I had never heard of "endovascular coiling" before. So here is the info I was able to pull up online.

Eli Stone is not a has-been!

People are still discussing Eli Stone in their blogs today, many months after the series has wrapped up. Notably the Sci fi Wire has mentioned the show on its compilation of musical moments from sci-fi TV shows: http://scifiwire.com/2010/04/12-musical-moments-in-sci.php. The blog gives mention to a scene in "Soul Free," the season one finale, one of my favorite episodes/scenes as well.

Another nice blog entry from today about the show is by Yin Teing, http://life.yinteing.com/2010/04/29/what-we-can-learn-from-eli-stone/.

The show is still being aired on TV around the world, and people still talk about it on Twitter. There are a few people who don't like the show, but for the most part the comments are very positive!

Nate's Wedding

This is Season 2 discussion. Do you think Eli should have told Nate that Beth had reservations about getting married? Do you think Eli tried to shove the whole thing under the carpet by staying away from the couple and hoping they would just go through with the marriage? My opinion: I think Eli had good intentions that simply backfired. He really did not want to see Nate get hurt and he thought perhaps Beth would go through w/ the wedding if he (Eli) stayed out of the way. Why do you think Nate was mad at Eli afterwards? Being that it was Beth's decision not to marry.
I felt sad for Eli that Nate did not direct his anger toward Beth for her wishy-washiness.

Episode discussion: Happy Birthday Nate

While watching the Season 2 episode, "Happy Birthday Nate," I had somewhat of a deja vu moment. During two of the scenes Eli actually falls into a drunken stupor and it is not from drinking alcohol, but because he IS his dad in the vision. Now where have I seen this before, I kept thinking, I know I have seen something like this done in another show or movie. It finally came to me: E.T.!!! It reminded me of the scene in E.T. The Extraterrestial when E.T. finds the beer in the fridge and we all know what happens to Elliott.
